Healthy chocolate peda

Celebrations in India are all about fun, frolic, food and can't be concluded without a dessert. If you have a sweet tooth, you must have been familiar with a peda, but have you tried a healthy chocolate peda? This peda can sweeten the day and also keep a check on your health.
Prep Time 10 minutes

Servings 1 plate


  • 1/2 cup unsweetned milk powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cashew powder
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup jaggery powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder


  • n a nonstick pan, combine unsweetened milk powder, cashew powder, and milk.
  • Let it simmer for 2 minutes over low heat.
  • Now, stir in the jaggery and heat for a few minutes, or until the milk thickens.
  • Finally, add the cocoa powder, cardamom powder and simmer it for another 2-3 minutes, or until combined
  • Allow the mixture to cool under room temperature.
  • Mould them into your desired shapes.
  • Next, refrigerate these for 30 minutes to harden up.
  • Serve and Enjoy
