I’m an investment banker and mother to an adorable 5-year-old. Here is my story of why I put my health first to put her (my daughter’s) health first.
Like every mother, I started out on my journey to become healthier after my daughter was born. It is very important to lead by example since our children mirror what we do as they grow up. With a history of hereditary health conditions on both sides of the family, one tends to worry about the future. My only aim was to lead a healthy life so that my daughter follows in my stead.
My only ‘bad’ habit was going to the gym and working out every single day. I did see some change in my weight, but my sessions at the gym after a long day at the office would leave me feeling drained out and tired. Little did I realise that the sudden drop in weight was taking a toll on how I look physically. That’s when I set out on the quest to set this right.
