−13 kg in 4 months

My 4-Month Transformation: 13 KG Down, Stronger Than Ever Four months ago, I started this journey with one simple goal—to lose weight. What I didn’t expect was how much more this journey would change me. I have lost 13 kg in 4 months, while also building approximately 2 kg of muscle through strength training and a high-protein diet. So for me, this wasn’t just weight loss—it was a complete body transformation. What actually worked for me 1. Calorie deficit, but not starvation I focused on eating around 1,700 calories a day instead of trying extreme diets. There were days when gym workouts made me extremely hungry, but I learned to manage hunger with high-protein, filling foods rather than giving in to cravings. 2. Protein became a priority I made sure to get around 150+ grams of protein daily, mainly through eggs, whey protein and regular meals. This helped me preserve and build muscle while losing fat. 3. Strength training was non-negotiable I trained with weights consistently, rather than relying only on cardio. My goal slowly changed from simply seeing a lower number on the weighing scale to becoming stronger and looking better. 4. Steps and cardio helped I tried to stay active throughout the day and combined my strength training with cardio. Some days I managed 10,000+ steps, while on busy workdays even getting 6,000–8,000 felt like an achievement. The roadblocks The journey definitely wasn’t easy. The weighing scale sometimes refused to move even when I was following my diet. There were weeks where I felt like I was doing everything right but seeing very little change. I also went through hunger, tiredness, constipation and days when motivation was almost zero. The biggest lesson was understanding that fat loss is not linear. A few days of no progress—or even an increase on the scale—doesn’t mean the journey isn’t working. There were also days when I looked in the mirror and thought, “I’ve been training for months, why don’t I look dramatically different yet?” But eventually, the small changes started adding up. My biggest lesson I stopped chasing quick results and started trusting the process. I learned that the weighing scale tells only one part of the story. Losing fat while gaining muscle can make the scale move slower, but your body can still be transforming significantly. Today, I’m 13 kg lighter, stronger, more disciplined and much more confident than when I started. And honestly, this is not the finish line. 13 kg down. Muscle gained. Strength gained. Confidence gained. The transformation is still in progress. ?? If there is one thing I would tell someone starting their journey: don’t look for a shortcut. Build habits you can continue even after you reach your goal.
