whole wheat bread

2 slices

grated cheese

1/4 cup

finely chopped vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.)

1/4 cup

butter

1 tablespoon

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Step 2:

Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Step 3:

Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.

Step 4:

Sprinkle the grated cheese and chopped vegetables on top of the bread.

Step 5:

Place the other slice of bread, butter side up, on top of the vegetables and cheese.

Step 6:

Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

Step 7:

Flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown.

Step 8:

Remove from the skillet and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 9:

Serve and enjoy!
