whole wheat bread

2 slices

shredded lettuce

1/4 cup

sliced cucumber

1/4 cup

sliced bell pepper

1/4 cup

sliced tomato

1/4 cup

shredded carrots

1/4 cup

alfalfa sprouts

1/4 cup

mayonnaise

1 tablespoon

mustard

1 tablespoon

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet.

Step 2:

Spread the mayonnaise and mustard on one side of each slice of bread.

Step 3:

Layer the lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper, tomato, carrots, and alfalfa sprouts on one slice of bread.

Step 4:

Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5:

Place the other slice of bread on top of the vegetables.

Step 6:

Cut the sandwich in half and serve.
