Ingredients

Rava/Sooji

1 cup

finely chopped vegetables (carrot, beans, capsicum, onion, etc)

1/2 cup

roasted peanuts

1/4 cup

mustard seeds

1/4 teaspoon

cumin seeds

1/4 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon

asafoetida

1/4 teaspoon

green chillies, finely chopped

Salt to taste

water

Directions

Step 1:

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 2:

Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and green chillies.

Step 3:

When the seeds start to splutter, add the chopped vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.

Step 4:

Add the rava and roast it for a few minutes.

Step 5:

Add the roasted peanuts and mix well.

Step 6:

Add the salt and turmeric powder and mix well.

Step 7:

Add the water and mix well.

Step 8:

Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes or until the rava is cooked.

Step 9:

Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
