Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add asafoetida and turmeric powder along with onion and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the chopped vegetables and sauté again.
Add the Daliya and mix well.
Add the red chilli powder and salt and mix well.
Add 2 and half cups of water and mix well.
Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the Daliya is cooked.
Serve hot with yogurt.
