Soak the Urad Dal in water for at least 4 hours.
Drain the water and grind the Urad Dal into a fine paste.
Add the salt, ajwain, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala to the paste and mix well.
Heat a non-stick pan and add the oil.
Take a small portion of the paste and spread it evenly on the pan.
Cook on both sides until golden brown.
Serve hot with chutney or pickle.
