Peel and cut the Torai into small cubes.
Heat oil in a pan and add the onion. Fry until golden brown.
Add the tomato and green chilli and fry for a few minutes.
Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala. Fry for a few minutes.
Add the Torai cubes and salt to taste.
Cover and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the Torai is cooked.
Serve hot with chapati or rice.
