Tomato Bath is a popular South Indian breakfast or lunch dish that is both nutritious and flavorful. Cook rice and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Once they splutter, add chopped onions, green chili and ginger garlic paste. Saute until onions turn golden.
Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt to taste. Cook until the oil separates from the sides.
Add cooked rice to the pan and mix well. Cook for a couple of minutes.
Serve the Tomato Bath hot with raita or papadum.
