Ingredients

kg tinda (Indian round gourd)

onion, finely chopped

tomato, finely chopped

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

amchur powder

1/2 teaspoon

oil

1 tablespoon

Salt to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Wash and peel the tinda and cut into small cubes.

Step 2:

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.

Step 3:

When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add the chopped onion and sauté till it turns golden brown.

Step 4:

Add the chopped tomato and sauté for a few minutes.

Step 5:

Add the tinda cubes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and amchur powder.

Step 6:

Mix everything together and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 7:

Add salt to taste and cook for a few more minutes.

Step 8:

Serve hot with chapatis or parathas.
