In a large bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, cumin seeds, carom seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, asafoetida, and salt.
Add the oil and mix it in with your hands until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Slowly add the water and knead the dough until it is soft and pliable.
Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Flatten each ball into a disc and place it on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves on each disc.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the thalipeeth for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve hot with chutney or pickle. Enjoy!
