Step 1:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.

Step 2:

Add the oil and mix until it is evenly distributed.

Step 3:

Slowly add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.

Step 4:

Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Step 5:

Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 6:

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.

Step 7:

Roll each portion into a thin circle.

Step 8:

Heat a tawa or griddle over medium-high heat.

Step 9:

Place the rolled chapati on the tawa and cook for 1 minute.

Step 10:

Flip the chapati and cook for another minute.

Step 11:

Brush some oil on the chapati and flip again.

Step 12:

Cook for 1 minute and then flip again.

Step 13:

Cook for another minute until the chapati is golden brown and cooked through.

Step 14:

Serve hot with your favorite accompaniment.
