Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Fold in the walnuts.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!
