Step 1:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2:

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3:

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.

Step 4:

Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk.

Step 5:

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.

Step 6:

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 7:

Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
