In Indian cuisine, it is often made with paneer, peas, potatoes, and spiced with a blend of Indian spices. It's a versatile dish that can be served as a side dish, appetizer, or a main course.

large capsicums (bell peppers)


paneer (cottage cheese), crumbled

1 cup

boiled peas

1/2 cup

boiled and mashed potatoes

1/2 cup

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

garam masala

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

Salt to taste


2 tablespoon



Step 1:

Cut the top of the capsicums and remove the seeds.

Step 2:

In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once the seeds start to splutter, add the mashed potatoes, peas, and crumbled paneer.

Step 3:

Add in the spices - garam masala, red chilli powder, and salt.

Step 4:

Sauté the mixture on medium heat for a couple of minutes. Let it cool.

Step 5:

Stuff the cooled mixture into the hollowed capsicums. Replace the top.

Step 6:

Grease the outer surface of the capsicums with some oil and roast in the oven at 180°C for around 20 minutes.

Step 7:

Serve the stuffed capsicums hot with mint chutney.
