soya chunks

1 cup


1/2 cup

purpose flour

red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon


1/4 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying



Step 1:

Soak the soya chunks in warm water for 10 minutes.

Step 2:

Drain the water and squeeze out the excess water from the soya chunks.

Step 3:

In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, ajwain and salt.

Step 4:

Add the soya chunks to the flour mixture and mix well.

Step 5:

Heat oil in a deep pan.

Step 6:

Take small portions of the soya chunks mixture and shape them into sticks.

Step 7:

Deep fry the soya sticks in hot oil until golden brown.

Step 8:

Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
