Soak the soya beans in water overnight.
Drain the beans and rinse them thoroughly.
Place the beans in a blender with 4 cups of water and blend until smooth.
Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or fine sieve.
Place the strained mixture in a pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the salt, sugar, and vanilla extract and stir until dissolved.
Remove from heat and let cool.
