Ingredients

whole wheat flour

2 cups

salt

1/2 teaspoon

oil or ghee

1 tablespoon

Water as required

Extra oil or ghee for cooking

Directions

Step 1:

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. 2.Add oil or ghee and mix well.

Step 2:

Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a soft dough.

Step 3:

Cover the dough and leave it to rest for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4:

Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.

Step 5:

Roll out each ball into a circular shape with the help of a rolling pin.

Step 6:

Heat a tawa or griddle and place the rolled out paratha on it.

Step 7:

Cook for a couple of minutes until it turns golden brown. Flip and cook the other side in the same way.

Step 8:

Smear some oil or ghee on both sides of the paratha and cook till it turns crispy.

Step 9:

Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or any side dish of your choice.
