Soak the rice and urad dal in separate bowls for at least 4 hours.
Drain the water from the soaked rice and urad dal and grind them separately in a blender.
Add the fenugreek seeds to the ground urad dal and mix well.
Add the ground rice to the urad dal mixture and mix well.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Add enough water to make a thick batter.
Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan.
Spread the batter evenly and cook on medium heat until the edges start to brown.
Flip the dosa and cook on the other side until golden brown.
Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
