Wash and soak the Sabu dana and Basmati rice in water for 30 minutes.
Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them crackle.
Add the chopped green chillies, garlic and ginger and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the soaked Sabu dana and Basmati rice and mix well.
Add 4 cups of water and salt to taste and mix well.
Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles.
Once the pressure is released, open the lid and fluff the khichri with a fork.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
