1 cup

water

2 cups

salt

1/4 teaspoon

ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon

honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup

chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Step 1:

In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

Step 2:

Add the rolled oats and salt and stir to combine.

Step 3:

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4:

Add the cinnamon and honey or maple syrup and stir to combine.

Step 5:

Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 6:

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped nuts, if desired.

Step 7:

Serve warm and enjoy!
