Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
In a medium saucepan, combine the coconut milk, salt, turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, sugar, raisins, and almonds. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Add the rinsed rice to the saucepan and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan with a lid.
Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the butter. Cover the saucepan with a lid and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve. Enjoy!
