About

Rice and Dal is a staple dish in Indian cuisine. It consists of a lentil soup (dal) served with steamed rice. The lentils in the dal are a rich source of protein, while the rice provides carbohydrates. This dish is commonly consumed in all parts of India, with regional variations in preparation techniques and ingredients. Often, the dal is tempered with spices and garnished with coriander leaves. Rice and dal is comfort food for many and is often the first solid food introduced to babies due to its soft and easily digestible nature.
