Rava/Sooji

1 cup

finely chopped onions

1/2 cup

finely chopped coriander leaves

1/4 cup

finely chopped green chillies

1/4 cup

cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon

mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon

asafoetida

1/4 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Oil for cooking

Directions

Step 1:

In a bowl, mix together the rava, onions, coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder and salt.

Step 2:

Add enough water to make a thick batter.

Step 3:

Heat a non-stick pan and pour a ladleful of the batter.

Step 4:

Spread it evenly and cook on both sides until golden brown.

Step 5:

Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
