Raita Boondi is a classic Indian side dish made from deep-fried chickpea flour balls (boondi) that are soaked in a spicy yogurt mixture. 1 cup


2 cups

roasted cumin powder

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon

black salt

1/2 teaspoon

Salt as per taste

Fresh chopped coriander for garnish



Step 1:

Start by soaking the boondi in lukewarm water for 10 minutes.

Step 2:

In the meantime, whisk the yogurt in a bowl until smooth.

Step 3:

Add in the cumin powder, red chilli powder, black salt, and salt to the whisked yogurt and mix well.

Step 4:

Once the boondi is soft, squeeze out the water gently and add them to the yogurt mixture.

Step 5:

Stir gently to ensure the boondi is evenly coated in the yogurt.

Step 6:

Refrigerate the raita for about 1-2 hours before serving.

Step 7:

Garnish with fresh chopped coriander and serve it chilled.
