Heat a pan and add the ragi powder to it. Dry roast it on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
Slowly add the roasted ragi powder to the boiling water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Cook the mixture on low heat until the ragi is cooked and the porridge thickens.
Add milk (for babies over 1 year old), ghee, and jaggery (optional). Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
Allow the porridge to cool before serving it to your baby.
