Ingredients

large onions (thinly sliced),

2

gram flour (besan),

1 cup

carom seeds (ajwain),

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli powder,

1/2 teaspoon

turmeric powder,

1/4 teaspoon

Salt to taste,

Oil for deep frying.

Directions

Step 1:

In a mixing bowl, add sliced onions, gram flour, ajwain, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

Step 2:

Mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes to release water from onions.

Step 3:

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan.

Step 4:

Take small portions of the onion mixture and drop them into the hot oil.

Step 5:

Fry till golden brown on medium heat and drain on paper towels.

Step 6:

Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
