Soak the chickpeas overnight in enough water.
Drain the water and pressure cook the chickpeas with enough water and salt for 3-4 whistles.
Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Fry till they turn golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.
Add the chopped tomatoes and fry till they turn soft.
Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder. Fry for a minute.
Add the cooked chickpeas and mix well.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
