baking powder

1 teaspoon

sugar

1 teaspoon

salt

1 teaspoon

oil

2 tablespoons

warm water

1/2 cup

melted butter

Directions

Step 1:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Step 2:

Add the oil and mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 3:

Slowly add the warm water and knead the dough until it is soft and pliable.

Step 4:

Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Step 5:

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.

Step 6:

Flatten each ball and roll it out into a circle about 5 inches in diameter.

Step 7:

Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.

Step 8:

Place the kulcha on the griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 9:

Flip the kulcha and brush it with melted butter.

Step 10:

Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the kulcha is golden brown.

Step 11:

Serve the kulcha hot with your favorite accompaniments. Enjoy!
