Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and asafoetida.
When the seeds start to crackle, add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Add the cubed paneer and mix gently.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cook for a few minutes until the paneer is cooked through.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
