Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal and sesame seeds.
Fry until the seeds start to crackle.
Add the green chillies and fry for a few seconds.
Add the peanuts and fry for a few minutes.
Add the grated coconut and fry for a few minutes.
Add the jaggery, tamarind paste, turmeric powder and salt.
Fry for a few minutes until the mixture is well combined.
Allow the mixture to cool and then grind it to a fine paste.
Serve the palli chutney with idli, dosa or any other South Indian dish.
