Wash the spinach and chop it finely.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they start to crackle, add the chopped onion and garlic.
Saute until the onion is golden brown.

Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add salt to taste and cook for another 5 minutes.
Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
