idli batter

2 cups

onion, finely chopped


green chilli, finely chopped


cumin seeds

1/4 teaspoon

coriander leaves, finely chopped

2 tablespoons

Salt to taste



Step 1:

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Pour a ladleful of the idli batter onto the pan and spread it evenly.

Step 3:

Sprinkle the chopped onion, green chilli, cumin seeds, coriander leaves and salt over the batter.

Step 4:

Drizzle some oil over the top.

Step 5:

Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.

Step 6:

Flip the uttapam and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown.

Step 7:

Serve hot with chutney or sambar. Enjoy!
