An onion paratha is a type of Indian flatbread that is made with a dough of whole wheat flour, salt, water and stuffing of a mixture of finely chopped onions, spices, and herbs. Onion parathas are usually served with yogurt, pickles, or chutney for breakfast. They can also be served as lunch or dinner with dal or curries.

Mix wheat flour, carom seeds, pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon oil, water and knead into soft dough.
Cover it with moist cloth and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
Mix onion, green chili, cilantro, mango powder, garam masala and salt in a bowl.
Take small size ball of dough and roll it into a small size disk.
Place the onion stuffing in the center and seal it by gathering the edges into the center.
Sprinkle some flour, roll out round parantha and place it on hot tawa.
Once the base is partially cooked, flip it and drizzle few drops of oil.
Cook well on both sides for 2-3 minutes or until brown spots appear.
Repeat same with remaining dough and serve hot.
