Muruku is a popular snack in India and other parts of South Asia. It is a savory, crunchy snack made from rice flour, urad dal flour, and spices. It is usually shaped into a spiral or coil and deep-fried in oil. Muruku is often served as an accompaniment to tea or coffee or used to make street food such as murukku chaat.

In a large bowl, mix together the rice flour, urad dal flour, sesame seeds, melted ghee, cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder and salt.
Knead the mixture into a soft dough using enough water.
Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a thin disc.
Cut the discs into diamond shapes using a knife.
Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the murukus until golden brown.
Drain the murukus on a paper towel and let them cool.
Serve the murukus with chutney or sambar. Enjoy!
