Soak the mung dal in water for at least 2 hours.
Drain the water and grind the mung dal to a coarse paste.
Add the cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and coriander leaves to the mung dal paste and mix well.
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add the mung dal mixture to the pan and spread it evenly.
Pour the water over the mixture and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the cheela is cooked through.
Flip the cheela and cook for another 5 minutes.
Serve hot with chutney or pickle. Enjoy!
