Soak the moong dal in water for 4-5 hours.
Drain the water and grind the dal to a coarse paste.
In a bowl, mix the ground dal with cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, and coriander leaves.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and deep fry until golden brown.
Remove the bhajis from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
