litchi, peeled and pitted

2 cups

sugar

1/2 cup

water

1/4 cup

lemon juice

2 tablespoons

ground cardamom

1 teaspoon

ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon

ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon

ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon

Directions

Step 1:

In a medium saucepan, combine the litchi, sugar, water, and lemon juice.

Step 2:

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

Step 3:

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4:

Add the cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 5:

Remove the pan from the heat and let cool.

Step 6:

Serve the litchi warm or chilled. Enjoy!
