Peel and grate the lauki.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft.
Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Add the grated lauki and mix well.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the lauki is cooked.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
