In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Add the oil and mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Gradually add the warm water and knead the dough until it is soft and pliable.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Flatten each ball and roll it out into a circle about 5 inches in diameter.
Brush each circle with melted butter and fold it in half.
Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and cook the kulchas for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Serve hot with chutney or pickle. Enjoy!
