kale, chopped

chana (chickpeas), soaked overnight

1 cup

onion, chopped


garlic, minced

2 cloves

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

garam masala

1 teaspoon


1 tablespoon

Salt to taste



Step 1:

Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Step 3:

Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Step 4:

Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala and mix well.

Step 5:

Add the soaked chana and mix well.

Step 6:

Add the chopped kale and mix well.

Step 7:

Add salt to taste and mix well.

Step 8:

Cover the pan and let the sabzi cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 9:

Serve hot with chapatis or rice. Enjoy!
