Soak the black chickpeas overnight in water.
Drain the water and pressure cook the chickpeas with 1 cup of water for 3-4 whistles.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
Once the cumin seeds start to crackle, add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
Add all the dry spices - coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, amchur powder and salt.
Mix everything well and cook for a few minutes.
Add the cooked chickpeas and mix everything together.
Add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Garnish with cumin powder and chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapati or rice.
