Soak the kaala chana in water overnight.
Drain the water and rinse the kaala chana.
In a pressure cooker, add the kaala chana, 2 cups of water, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, amchur powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and oil.
Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles.
Once the pressure is released, open the lid and check if the kaala chana is cooked.
Serve the kaala chana boiled with roti or rice.
