Instant Ragi Dosa is a healthy and delicious south Indian recipe made with ragi, also known as finger millet. This dosa is made instantly without the need for fermentation. It is rich in iron and calcium and is great for diabetics. It can be served for breakfast or dinner, and goes well with chutney or sambhar.

ragi flour (finger millet flour)

1 cup

rice flour

1/4 cup


1/4 cup

green chilli finely chopped


tsp asafoetida


Salt as required

Oil for cooking



Step 1:

Take the ragi flour and rice flour in a bowl.

Step 2:

Add curd, green chilli, asafoetida, salt and two cups of water and mix well to make a smooth batter.

Step 3:

Heat a dosa tawa and pour a ladle of batter in the centre.

Step 4:

Spread it in circular motion to get a thin dosa.

Step 5:

Drizzle some oil on the sides and cook until the base becomes golden brown.

Step 6:

Flip and cook the other side.

Step 7:

Serve ragi dosa hot with coconut chutney or sambhar.
