Wash the lentils thoroughly and boil them with salt and turmeric until soft
In a pan, saute chopped onions, tomatoes and the spices. Add the boiled lentils and let it simmer.
For the sabzi, saute the mixed vegetables in a pan with the spices until cooked.
For the roti, make a soft dough with the flour, salt and water. Roll out portions of the dough into flat circles and cook on a heated pan with a little ghee (optional).
