Chop the onions, green chillies, tomatoes, garlic, and ginger.
Cut the paneer into cubes.
In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and saute the cumin seeds.
Add the chopped onions, green chillies, garlic, and ginger and saute till the onions are golden brown.
Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute till they are mushy.
After cooling this mixture, move it into a blender and blend into a smooth paste.
In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee and the paneer cubes and fry till golden brown.
Now add the smooth paste, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt into the pan and cook for 7 to 8 minutes.
Lastly, add the cream and stir well.
Shahi Paneer is now ready to be served with naan or rice.
