Ingredients

paneer (cottage cheese)

200g

fresh peas

1 cup

medium onions, finely chopped

medium tomatoes, pureed

2

green chillies, sliced

2

ginger

2 teaspoons

garlic paste

cumin seeds

2 teaspoons

turmeric powder

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

2 teaspoons

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

oil

2 tablespoons

Salt to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Heat the oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Step 2:

Add the chopped onions and green chillies, cook until the onions turn translucent.

Step 3:

Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell goes away.

Step 4:

Add the pureed tomatoes and cook till the oil separates from the masala.

Step 5:

Add the turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder and garam masala, sauté for a minute.

Step 6:

Add the peas, paneer and salt to the pan, mix well to coat the paneer and peas in the masala.

Step 7:

Cover the pan and cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8:

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
