Baking cake in a pressure cooker is a hassle-free method, especially for those who don't have an oven. The cake turns out just as moist and fluffy, making it a win-win situation! Because you're using a pressure cooker, the heat is evenly circulated, which lead to even baking. This method is common in Indian households where ovens are not a staple kitchen appliance.

Mix together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, yogurt, milk, and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until smooth.
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
Preheat your pressure cooker for about 2-3 minutes on a medium flame without the weight.
Place a metal stand in the pressure cooker.
Carefully place the baking dish on top of the stand. Close the pressure cooker lid without the weight.
Cook on a low flame for about 40-45 minutes.
After 35 minutes, open the lid and check the cake by inserting the knife. If it comes out clean, then the cake is done. If not, close the lid and continue baking for another 10 minutes.
Once the cake is done, remove it from the pressure cooker and let it cool before serving.
