Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add onions and garlic and sauté until onions are soft and lightly browned.
Add ginger and tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add pav bhaji masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and turmeric powder. Stir to combine.
Add mashed potatoes and green peas and mix well.
Add water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add butter and cilantro and mix well.
Add salt to taste.
Serve hot with pav (dinner rolls). Enjoy!
